Cheers to the new one at PennOne.

For nearly three-decades, mediocre and questionable food options have plagued the surrounding blocks of the decaying Penn Station. New York City’s outdated Penn Station is now a thing of the past.

The new face-lifted Penn Station and Moynihan Train Hall presented itself with adjacent elevated dining experiences, with us welcoming the new one at PennOne, Blue Ribbon Sushi & Steak.

The project was designed and delivered by the Blue Ribbon design veterans, John Eagle and Josh Benzwie of Eagle Benzwie Architects. The restaurant is nestled within the OnePenn plaza with the main entry opening up and facing Madison Square Garden.

The lighting was inspired by the contrast of the interior finishes, with dynamic white tuning throughout the day, bringing in patrons from a casual business lunch to a warm and romantic dinner date. An interior wall cove was introduced to balance the abundance of natural light filtering through the space while providing a soft back-drop to the well-crafted performance from the Itamae.

Let’s feast! Itadakimasu.
