Great Scott!

Formerly the Firesky Resort & Spa, the Scott has undergone a major facelift. Avroko, inspired by the property’s existing Spanish Revival architecture, added a Bauhaus twist with old Havana musings to transform the resort into a hip, gorgeous destination.

Avroko’s signature custom designed light fixtures abound, and we worked closely to incorporate the correct lamping and diffusing materials.

The project had a tight budget, and we had to utilize all existing lighting locations for the architectural lighting, which in several cases, we abandoned, deciding instead to add more decorative fittings and lower level light (which Avroko fully supported)

We added landscape lighting indoors and out, so the high-ceilinged lobby felt more like a loggia than a lobby.

And we had fun. Renovation projects with modest budgets force us to use our creativity and expertise in other ways. Less can be more.
